Kirby Nielsen writes historical fiction, short stories, and essays. His primary interest is America’s treatment of disabled people during the period 1900-1970. A large part of his research and writing is dedicated to the pseudo-scientific movement known as Eugenics. His Masters Degree in Applied Behavior Analysis and extensive experience with severely disabled people provide much of the background material for his writing. He has written two novels.
